Ubrolexin® is a novel, broad spectrum antibiotic

Ubrolexin® is a novel, broad spectrum antibiotic treatment delivering a potent bactericidal activity against both gram positive and gram negative mastitis-causing bacteria i.e. on both ends of the pathogen spectrum. Ubrolexin® is a powerful combination of two effective antibiotics (Cefalexin and Kanamycin) which show a synergistic antibacterial activity: the effect of Cefalexin is enhanced by Kanamycin and vice versa. Ubrolexin® intramammary suspension for lactating dairy cows. Each tube contains: Cefalexin (as monohydrate): 200 mg and Kanamycin (as monosulphate): 100,000 I.U. The indication for use is the treatment of clinical mastitis in lactating dairy cows for bacteria susceptible to the combination of cefalexin and kanamycin such as Staphylococcus aureus , Streptococcus dysgalactiae, Streptococcus uberis and Escherichia coli.
